Basic Search Overview


The Search box is located at the top center of each page, just below the database title. Enter a keyword or phrase in the search box, and click the magnifying glass button.

Ferguson's search returns many result types, including Advice Article, Blog Post, My Life Profile, School Overview, and Video. On the search results page, you can filter results to show only specific record types by selecting checkboxes under "Narrow Results by Type" on the right.

Searches are stored in Search History for the browser session. To view Search History, click the Search History link to the right of the search box. You can then click any of the links in the Search History to re-run a particular search.

To search for Jobs & Internship postings in Indeed, select the Jobs & Internships Postings option button below the search box, and then enter a job title or keyword in the first field in the Search box. To limit results to a specific location, enter a city, state, or zip code in the second field. Then click the Find Jobs button.

Job search results are sorted by relevance by default, but to sort by date instead you can click the Date link. Click the New Jobs link to display only results that are new (recently posted) jobs.
