To go to the Advanced Search page, click the Advanced Search link to the right of the main Search box at the top of the site, or click the Advanced Search footer link.
On the Advanced Search page, there are three sections:
- Advanced Site Search
- Advanced Profession Profile Search
- Government Code Career Index Search
Advanced Site Search
Advanced Site Search allows you to select the record types to include in search results in advance. Just select the checkboxes corresponding to the record types you want to include, enter a keyword or phrase in the Search box, and click the Search button.
Advanced Profession Profile Search
With the Advanced Profession Profile Search, you can select Career Cluster, Education Level, and/or Job Skill as search criteria. Note that the more criteria you select, the more limited your result set. You can also enter a keyword or phrase for your profession profile search.
Government Code Career Index Search
With the Government Code Career Index search, you can search for profession profiles associated with the National Occupational Classification (NOC) Index or the Occupational Information Network (O*NET)-Standard Occupational Classification System (SOC) index. Enter the career code in the applicable field, and click the magnifying glass button. To see a list of codes, click either the NOC link or the O*NETSOC link. Note not all index codes return results; results are returned if profession profiles in Ferguson's Career Guidance Center are associated with the code.
